The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received operating licenses nationwide in March 2025. A total of 94 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment value of 13,552.0 million baht. Samut Sakhon province led the pack with 10 new factory licenses and a total investment of over 1,350.13 million baht.

Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in March 2025

1) Samut Sakhon – 10 factories, total investment of 1,350.13 million baht, employing 476 workers, with a total machine capacity of 8,300.48  horsepower.

2) Pathum Thani – 9 factories, total investment of 2,349.11 million baht, employing 527 workers, with a total machine capacity of 7,855.51 horsepower.

3) Samut Prakan​ – 9 factories, total investment of  589.79 million baht, employing 474 workers, with a total machine capacity of 6,348.61 horsepower.

When considering only provinces with the highest increase in total industrial investment, the top three are: Ayutthaya ​(4,220.81​​ million baht), followed by Pathum Thani​ (2,349.11​ million baht) and Nakhon Pathom ​(1,421.50 ​ million baht).

These statistics reflect the growing industrial development and investment in these key provinces, showcasing their importance in Thailand's industrial landscape.
