
Chonburi Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in May 2025
The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received operating licenses nationwide in May 2025. A total of 99 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment value of 15,754.51 million baht. Chonburi province led the pack with 16 new factory licenses.
Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in May 2025
1) Chonburi – 16 factories, total investment of 500.69 million baht, employing 353 workers, with a total machine capacity of 5,440.30 horsepower.
2) Nakhon Pathom– 11 factories, total investment of 578.60 million baht, employing 231 workers, with a total machine capacity of 3,648.10 horsepower.
3) Samut Sakhon – 6 factories, total investment of 395.48 million baht, employing 190 workers, with a total machine capacity of 3,147.15 horsepower.
When considering only provinces with the highest increase in total industrial investment, the top three are: Phayao (4,604.06 million baht), followed by Uttaradit (2,070.21 million baht) and Nakhon Ratchasima (11,120.51 million baht).
