Samut Prakan Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in April 2025

The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received operating licenses nationwide in April 2025. A total of 117 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment value of 10,248.99 million baht. Samut Prakan province led the pack with 11 new factory licenses.

Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in April 2025

1) Samut Prakan – 11 factories, total investment of 359.75 million baht, employing 399 workers, with a total machine capacity of 2,236.36  horsepower.

2) Nakhon Pathom– 11 factories, total investment of 1,143.88 million baht, employing 120 workers, with a total machine capacity of 2,217.56 horsepower.

3) Samut Sakhon​ – 11 factories, total investment of 1,506.37 million baht, employing 346 workers, with a total machine capacity of 5,764.46 horsepower.

When considering only provinces with the highest increase in total industrial investment, the top three are: Saraburi ​(2,802.24​​​ million baht), followed by Patch Buri​ (1,555.68​ million baht) and Samut Sakhon​ ​(1,506.37 ​ million baht).

These statistics reflect the growing industrial development and investment in these key provinces, showcasing their importance in Thailand's industrial landscape.
