Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry reported that 209 new factories nationwide were licensed in November 2021. The employment increased with more 6,233 people hired whereas the total capital was 10,295.36 million baht, decreasing from 10,823.14 baht of the previous month. Samut Sakhon was the province where 33 new factories opened, the largest number with the total capital of 1,382.88 million baht.

In November 2021, the top three provinces where new licensed factories are located are as follows: 

1) Samut Sakhon - There were 33 new licensed factories with the total capital of 1,382.88 million baht. The employment increased with 1,153 more hires. The total machine power was 26,454.92 hp.

2) Chonburi - There were 20 new licensed factories with the total capital of 1,212.64 million baht. The employment increased with 1,777 more hires. The total machine power was 22,622.80 hp.

3) Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan - Pathum Thani There were 10 new licensed factories with the total capital of 323.34 million baht. The employment increased with 233 more hires. The total machine power was 11,172.95 hp and Samut Prakan There were 10 new licensed factories with the total capital of 332.92 million baht. The employment increased with 211 more hires. The total machine power was 3,723.11 hp.

However, when comparing only with the factory capital in the province, the champion was Saraburi with the total capital of 1,431.33 million baht. The followings were Samut Sakhon at 1,382.88 million baht, Chonburi at 1,212.64 million baht, Chachoengsao at 926.29 million baht and Krabi at 560 million baht.
