Samut Prakan - Chonburi: Champions for the largest number of new factories in November 2022

Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry reported that 134 new factories nationwide were licensed in November 2022. The employment increased with more 2,834 people hired whereas the total capital was 48,873.32 million baht, increasing from 7,429.80 baht of the previous month.

Samut Prakan - Chonburi both provinces had the same 12 new factories opened, the largest number with the total capital of 2,706.26 million baht.

In November 2022, the top three provinces where newly licensed factories are located are as follows: 

1) Samut Prakan and Chonburi - Both provinces had the same 12 new licenses factories. Samut Prakan, the total capital was 1,468.57 million baht. The employment increased with 457 more hires. The total machine power was 3,996.42 hp. While Chonburi, the total capital was 1,237.69 million baht. The employment increased with 248 more hires. The total machine power was 4,195.00 hp.

2) Pathum Thani - There were 8 new licensed factories with the total capital of 5,023.04 million baht. The employment increased with 440 more hires. The total machine power was 2,148.11 hp.

3) Prachinburi - There were 7 new licensed factories with the total capital of 1,661.96 million baht. The employment increased with 187 more hires. The total machine power was 102,498.23 hp.

However, when comparing only with the factory capital in the province, the champion was Nakhon Sawan with the total capital of 19,810 million baht. The followings were Mahasarakham at 15,000 million baht, Pathum Thani at 5,023.04 million baht, Prachinburi at 1,661.96 million baht and Samut Prakan at 1,468.57 million baht.
