Vehicle Sales Volume in May 2018
Mr. Surapong Paisitpattanapong, vice president and spokesman of Automotive Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), disclosed the domestic vehicle sales volume in May 2018 as follows:
Vehicle Sales Volume
The domestic sales volume of May 2018 was at a total of 84,965 vehicles, increased by 27.9% from the sales volume of May 2017 and 7.27% from the sales volume in April 2018.
The domestic sales volume was increased due to the introduction of new model vehicles, the higher consumer confidence, the promising construction sector, the higher volume and better price of agricultural products, the higher volume of exports and imports, the more investment of private sectors, the governmental investments in public infrastructures, the governmental assistance to low income earners as well as exports, and the increasing number of tourists.
From January to May 2018, the vehicle sales volume was registered at 401,264 units, increased by 18% of the same period in the previous year.
